Hey all, I remember seeing a cloak and some other items that have clicky shroud of stealth. I was just wondering if I could get the links of these items. I'm kind of trying to figure out something. It would help big time! Thank you!

Clicky Shroud of Stealth items?

Tiny Cloak of darkest night, drops in Fungus Grove Caller event, and despite the effect name "Shroud of Stealth" it's just a regular clicky Invis with 1,5 second cast time in your ammo slot.
Whatever funky exploit you were thinking about, it won't work - it's just Invis.

With that thinking if a caster invis'd you then youd be SoS and I know for a fact that this isnt the case when my druid did group invis and I was to lazy to click hide sneak I ran through Natimbi like I normally do through the restless soul mobs not thinking about it and they all agroed on me.Pokenm

another invis item for rogues is crystal mask from posky, 5 sec cast gather shadows with unlimited charges.
I've been out of the game for some time, but there were rumors at one time that if a rogue were invis'ed in any way, then he was SoS'ed. (was the same with ITU, iirc)
i notice that when I'm on my rogue and i use invis from either crystal mask or tiny cloak, that less things seem to see me then a different character of mine using the same invis.
ex, i use crystal mask to zone into howling stones, 2 undead mobs at the zone dont see me. then i load my necro, using the same gather shadows spell, i zone in and get agro from the undead at the zone in

A rogue with either Invis or IVU on him counts as having both.ex, i use crystal mask to zone into howling stones, 2 undead mobs at the zone dont see me. then i load my necro, using the same gather shadows spell, i zone in and get agro from the undead at the zone in
Gather Shadows is invis vs. living, so it won't do your necro any good against undeads.
Invis/IVU will NOT give a rogue the benefit of having SoS active, because SoS is purely linked to hide and not to the special effects of invis on rogues.

Rogues are hard coded so that when INVIS has been cast on them, they are BOTH invis and invis to undead. Rogues are the only class that has this advantage.
Rogues are also the only class that can buy the ABILITY (AA) Shroud of Stealth (at level 63, 9 AA cost). This ABILITY should NOT be confused with an INVIS SPELL of the same name, the rogue SoS ability provides an additional amount of invisibility in almost all situations, but not quite 100%. Any mob that can see through invis has a tiny chance to see a rogue that is using the SoS ability. Any mob that spawns with the ability to see SoS will see all rogues with SoS, since the decision about if it can see through SoS is made when the mob spawns. It will continue to see through SoS until it is killed or it despawns (server down, etc...). If a mob cannot see through SoS when it spawns, it will never see a rogue using the SoS ability as long as the rogue remains hidden.
The SPELL Shroud of Stealth (as stated earlier) is nothing more than an invis spell. Rogues tend to like the Tiny Cloak of Darkest Nights due to it being a quick cast, usable from the ammo slot, and generally having a cool item name. But once again, it is nothing more than a regular invis spell, and rogues use it to be invis when zoning into zones where there are mobs at the zone-in. However, if any of those mobs can see invis, the rogue will be seen. The mob does not need to be able to see through SoS (the ability) in this case because the rogue is using the spell at this point and not his or her ability.

They really SHOULD either,
1. Change the name of that spell
or better yet,
B. Make that spell effect work with the effect of the SoS AA.
I think the only reason that cloak even exists was to give rogues a way to zone into areas without getting agroed before they could hide. Then they put bard on it out of mask-habit.

B is very flawed cause various other classes have access to the same exact clicky. Not to mention it would be death to rogue AA invis superiority.
I agree though the name has caused a bit of confusion for people now that both the clicky items and the roots of our AA have been obscured by time.----------------------------------------------------

People make this mistake all the time. The REAL thing is that a rogue with hide is invis to both living and dead. And that with a normal invis case on him a rogue is still invis to undead as well even though the spell isn't for that. It in no way activates SoS. Never has.but there were rumors at one time that if a rogue were invis'ed in any way, then he was SoS'ed.

I still use it once every great while to zone into BOT when there is a train on other side. But loved it when I got it at 48...could run around without being snared from sneaking!Aphyd said:God no kidding...I remember invising my entire group for Plane of Growth raids in 2 seconds../mourn the old Crystal Mask with unlimited insta-cast "Invisibility"
That mask was actually handy pre-nerf...now it's just useless.
